Hello¡¡ I want to talk you about my MacBook Pro. This year I am using SIERRA system which is the last one available by Apple. I use my computer mainly to write my music in Finale, a great program to edit and write scores. Also I can use IK multimedia whit this program like a virtual instrument to listen my scores. Miroslav Philharmonic is a big Library of sounds which a use to playback my scores. Thanks to Finale I can also prepare guides to teaching and print this one as PDF, which is important because when I must to work outside I don’t have Finale.

I have in my computer great’s application, for example I have Logic Pro, a complete software to record and edit music. I use this program to create or arranger songs, I can mixture and mastering with Logic Pro, but this is a basic master.
Other software in my computer are Photoshop and Final Cut, I am learning to use this tools because I need it to create flayers, poster, videos, etc. This is necessary to make known my band Arena Quinteto.

By last, sometimes I use my MacBook Pro to performance with popular music bands, when MacBook Pro is very secure and stable. I recommend it.

    Apple has great products for all the activities of the different disciplines that exist. You have a great apparatus.

Have you ever been in Andacollo? well, Andacollo is a town near from La Serena city. In this place there are many traditions. For example, in october and December there is a celebration to Virgen del Rosario de Andacollo. In this celebration you can see many cultural expresion. In the picture we can apreciate an ancient religious dance, which is very important in the history of Andacollo, Chile and latinoamerican culture. In the picture you can see a kind of flute which exists since before the arrival of the spanish to our country. The sound of this religious dance reminds us about the lament of the miner. Carlos Botto He was a Chilean pianist, composer and professor. Carlos Botto was born in Viña del  Mar in 1923, in this city he began his piano studies with Odelia Malfatti. In 1948 he entered to National Conservatory in Santiago where he studie piano and composition. He was disciple of Gustavo Becerra, Domingo Santa Cruz and Juan Orrego Salas. Late he was student of Luigi Dallapicola in New York. Botto was professor in Universidad de Chile and Esuela Moderna de Música, he became in director of National Conservatory between 1961 and 1968. He also was president of The Musical Younths between 1961 and 1974.   His music for piano is very interesting and complex, for example his “Caprichos” for piano are a great work which have a big development of harmony and form. Hi musician friends, today I want to talk about a web site: www.ismlp.org .  This site is very important for any musician because it contain a lot scores by the most of classical composers. In the main menu you go to scores and you can chose the composers and instrument or group that you need. Also you can search by nationality, instrumentation, time period and genre. There are compositions, transcription, arrangements and audio files to listen to works by composers of all age. In this site you can free download the scores that you need.  If you want you can donate money to help to this incredible library but it is not required. Also you can purchase a membership or participate in forum or chat in the community. Also you can upload your scores and to share them with other musicians.
