Have you ever been in Andacollo? well, Andacollo is a town near from La Serena city. In this place there are many traditions. For example, in october and December there is a celebration to Virgen del Rosario de Andacollo. In this celebration you can see many cultural expresion. In the picture we can apreciate an ancient religious dance, which is very important in the history of Andacollo, Chile and latinoamerican culture. In the picture you can see a kind of flute which exists since before the arrival of the spanish to our country. The sound of this religious dance reminds us about the lament of the miner. The "chinos" (quechua word) dance during many hours to greet to "La Chinita del Rosario" playing their instruments and singing their old melodies. I always can feel the emotion that I had when I was a child and I lived in my town with my family.
If you want to learn more about this celebration, you can visit Andacollo during the first wekeend of october or between  23th and 27th of december. There are many videos in youtube which show us expresions of this celebration, also you can listen instruments of the others tipical religious dances.
